I love my lola (grandmother) and her cooking. Her Filipino dishes are what I was raised on—dishes that helped raise me.
Sadly, she won't live forever. But, through her recipes, her legacy can.
Most of Lola’s dishes are fairly simple. The problem is, she doesn't measure when she cooks. Thankfully, I spent a summer watching over her shoulder while she prepared her classics.
Cookbooks are pointless, really. Nobody wants to read all that. And everyone knows that all the best recipes are passed down by family, on TikTok, or at the bottom of some random lady’s lifestyle blog.
This is my attempt at preserving Lola’s legacy. Having her recipes in a simple format makes Filipino cooking easy and available for family, friends, and anyone else who wants to cook something new.
